On an island this size, the sea is never far away. A beach walk gives you something to look at, and walking side by side makes the quiet moments easier. Check the tide times first, as Jersey's tides are some of the biggest in the world.
A walk along St Brelade's Bay
St Brelade's Bay faces south, has golden sand and is open all year. Walk the length of the bay, then stop at one of the cafés or restaurants along the front. Ramps from the promenade make it easy to get on and off the beach.

Sunset at St Ouen's Bay
El Tico Beach Cantina sits on the Five Mile Road at St Ouen's Bay and is open all year, with a terrace looking out over the beach. Meet for an early dinner and watch the sun set over the bay. It gets busy, so you may have to wait for a table.

Gorey harbour and Mont Orgueil Castle
Mont Orgueil Castle opens daily from 10am to 4pm until 31 December, apart from 24, 25, 26 and 31 December. The castle café is closed from November until late March, so have a coffee by Gorey harbour first. Climbing the towers together gives you plenty to talk about.
